Bridal Seminar Tablescape Inspiration...I've got your something blue!

I am presenting at a The Wedding Cafe in Honolulu on February 17, 2010, and am planning my tablescape. Since I stay current and want to represent the 2010 trends, while incorporating my own style of simple, clean, and modern elegance. While so many companies go overboard and create something completely unaffordable for most couples in order to show their creative potential, I want to create something doable. My goal is to create a beautiful tablescape that will captivate and WOW the couples, but will also allow them to walk away with the feeling of "WE CAN DO THAT!!!"  Here are my photo inspirations. Can't wait to see the final product!

*Bold colors and jewel tones mixed with intriguing patterns are the trend for 2010. And, steel gray will replace chocolate brown as the accent color.  So, I have selected Black and Cobalt Blue, with accents of white and shades of grey/platinum.

*Since the red carpet and fashion magazines have been featuring a lot of cobalt blue, so it should not be challenging to find these colors in fashion, linens, event decor items, and flowers.

*Layering textures and shades for a modern and clean look. Mix colors, patterns and texture for maximum impact.

*Shorter centerpieces. Brides are choosing centerpieces that are in the same color tones and varying sizes, giving the table a more interesting look and a less "coordinated" feel.

*Minimal florals in glass containers for simple, elegant style.

*More petals, blossoms, candles — even feathers

*Hand-tied bouquets with patterned wide ribbon stems.

*According to GetMarried.com, "Old, new, borrowed and cobalt blue: From hints of blue in bridal fashion to saturated color throughout the wedding decor, “blues will be the most requested color in 2010,” according to Shane Murray of The Wedding Report. Bright cobalt blue is a hot hue for 2010, offering fresh, bold and atmospheric twist on the bluesy tradition."
*Favors will be hotter than ever in 2010, so don't skip out on them.

*According to Margie at Bella Flora:"*Blue is coming in strong. Priscilla of Boston has a Cobalt Blue and other dress colors seem to be more brilliant blue. More blue flowers are requested as well (i.e, hydrangea, delphenium, scabiosa, muscari, tweedia)."

*I love these pillows for a lounge look

Here are some other photos for my inspiration...
